High Falls Wedding of Karen and Michael
cocktail hour and tented wedding reception.
Guests enjoyed cocktails beside the in ground pool as the Julie Berman Quartet performed from the balcony above. They savored hors d’ouevres of lamb chops and ahi tuna served by Gendron Catering.
Michael gently helped her out of the Ford pickup when they arrived after the ceremony and the two of them playfully posed for photos in the back. Karen was absolutely radiant in her stunning dress!
THE DETAILS: The place cards were bird-shaped cards tied to branches. Light brown linens and chocolate napkins graced tables, in the center of each a nest with chocolate eggs and a birdhouse with tiny colored birds perched on it. The cake was a one of a kind masterpiece, a four tiered cake covered in gum paste hummingbirds.
The night was overseen by the light touch of Joan from First Impressions Event Planners and her attentive team; they were on hand to tend to the details so that everything went as smoothly as you could ever hope.
On the dance floor, Karen and Michael’s friends danced to 80′s favorites by Aha, the Cure and the Violent Femmes. Cued in by the Best Man’s entertaining speech, we played “Radar Love” (arguably Michael’s favorite song) followed by Karen’s favorite, “Under My Thumb.” Toward the end of the night the guests were enjoying “Shout,” with no fewer than eight people on their backs doing the cockroach!
I loved watching Karen and Michael steal moments together just outside the tent, enjoying their first moments as husband and wife. It was truly an amazing night that few could have pulled off. Thanks so much for letting us be a part of it!
