Patriot Hills Wedding: Allison and Tim

4.29.11  After a week of miserable rainy days, the sun finally came out in all its glory for Allison and Tim’s wedding at the Patriot Hills in Stony

Point, NY.  Gorgeous spring blossoms and pale green leaves were popping out everywhere just in time for the wedding!

The bridal party was introduced to “Let’s Get It Started” by the Black Eyed Peas, and then Allison and Tim came in triumphantly to “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns N’ Roses.  (Tim had threatened to do a back flip into the room, but that didn’t happen.  We did get to see him walking on his hands later on, though.)

Allison and Tim shared a moving first dance to “Free” by the Zac Brown Band.  Allison playfully grabbed Tim’s cheeks…both sets…as they danced.

The Details

Navy napkins on the tables off set the beautiful blue, dark and light purple centerpieces.  The bridesmaids wore lavender gowns.  The cake was decorated in delicate lavender orchids.

Allison’s mother printed up recipe booklets as favors for the guests, filled with recipes from both families and the stories behind them.  What a cool, personal gift!

The wedding cake was covered with delicate lavender orchids, so beautifully placed beside Tim’s Marine cap and gloves.  It was such fun watching them cut the cake together with his sword!

It was our pleasure to work with the talented husband-wife team of Jade and Tim from Uplift Photography.  I find came across Jade’s blog a couple years ago and was completely wowed!  Fortunately, we’ve had the pleasure of working together quite a few times since.  Yes, I do love those husband-wife wedding duos.

Allison was gorgeous, wide eyed and smiling.  I loved watching her singing, with and without help from the microphone, “The Time” by the Black Eyed Peas.

The newlyweds head off to St. Lucia for a well-earned vacation.  Thanks so much for inviting us to the wedding, guys!
