Their ceremony was held in a lovely oval room with a concave ceiling painted with white clouds against a blue sky. Magnificent arrangements of fuchsia, cream and pink roses, hydrangeas and ivy topped the pillars on both sides of the aisle.

The bridesmaids wore short, playful navy dresses with silver blue heels and carried bouquets of fuchsia and purple flowers as they stepped across the rose petal strewn aisle. The ring bearer and adorable flower girls followed, the girls dressed in white and crowned with wreaths of pink roses.

Jeff played the hauntingly beautiful Portuguese Love Theme from the movie Love Actually as Christine entered the room on her father’s arm.  She was bubbling over with happiness in her strapless gown, pearl necklace and bracelet as she waited for Brandon to escort her to their place before the reverend.

Christine and Brandon shared their love story with guests at the reception in the love letters they had written for each other. It was the story of the “little five foot tall girl with the seven foot tall personality” who finally found her “…tall someone who could melt her heart…and always make her laugh.”

THE DETAILS: Gorgeous floral arrangements of pink, cream and fuchsia roses and hydrangeas on pedestals decorated each table along with gold wrapped chocolate wedding favors. Photos of the couple and their families greeting guests as they entered the ballroom and hung on the wall inside, offering a peek at Christine and Brandon through the years. The wedding cake was topped with a goose perched on the edge of a fish bowl, trying to catch the koi inside—a tribute to their nicknames: the Goose and the Little Koi.

The couple blended their diverse traditions to welcome their families into one at the celebration. We played, “Rocky Top” and “Take Me Home, Country Roads” in honor of Brandon’s Tennessee and West Virginia background. Then, before the cake cutting, Christine changed into a vivid multi-colored Korean gown called a hanbok.

Christine and Brandon were so tender and loving toward each other throughout their day, from first dance to last. I even watched them kiss each other a dozen times in a minute.  (I counted!)

My heart is filled with joy for this beautiful couple and the lives they have officially begun together. Congratulations and thanks for having us!
